My Top 4 FREE Resources for Stock Photography

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday to ya! I hope you are going to be doing something fun this weekend. I’m going to be working on some crafty projects and a few orders. Yay! So, for those of you who don’t know I am a graphic designer so I’m always on the lookout for free stock photography that I can use for any project. Here is my list of the places I always look to first.

This blog post is not sponsored in any way, it’s just my opinion.

  1. Adobe Stock Did you know that you do not need a Creative Cloud account to access and license content on Adobe Stock? You only need to create an Adobe ID. There are FREE assets listed as well. I am a Creative Cloud subscriber and I use the free content all the time.
  2. Pexels If you are looking for beautiful stock photography and video, look no farther. This site offers royalty free content that is shared by creators. What is unique is that they have a Leaderboard which lists the top creators with the most views and downloads of their work which I think is pretty special.
  3. Unsplash This site offers a wide array of categories including 3D Renders which I’ve never seen on a free stock photography site. I especially like the textures and patterns and have used many in my designs. My background photo in my header is from here.
  4. Pixabay I saved my favorite for last. Pixabay offers it all! Videos, Vectors, Photos, and even Sound Effects! I love the background images on this site, seriously, they are so good! I use them a lot in poster and flyer designs.

So, there you go, my favorite sites that I’ve used for several years now including while I was in college. Let me know in the comments if you have used assets from any of the sites listed above and give me your thoughts.

See you soon!
